The EQ2050 Mengshi (often referred to as Dongfeng Armor ) is the 1.5 ton capacity, four-wheel drive troop/shipment carrier truck developed and built by Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM). The vehicle used to be in accordance with the General Motors Top-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) with a few minor modifications. In line with Chinese media reports, the army version EQ2050 with one hundred% Chinese-made portions passed the design finalization trial by the PLA in December 2006.
